Forklift Masts North Charleston - North Charleston (population around 97,400) is a city within the state of South Carolina, United States. North Charleston was not incorporated as a city until the year 1972. Today it is the 3rd biggest city in South Carolina State, and is considered a major retail and industrial center. The city of North Charleston incorporates parts of Berkeley, Dorchester and Charleston counties. The total land area of the city is 198 km2.

The city features numerous museums, historical sites and other public attractions, like for example the American LaFrance Fire Museum & Educational Center. This particular museum features antique exhibits and one-of-a-kind vehicles and fire equipment which date back to the mid 18th century. The Museum is situated between Tanger outlet mall and the North Charleston Coliseum.

On display at the H.L. Hunley Museum is a Civil War era submarine, that is recognized as the worlds very first successful combat submarine. Lifted from the ocean floor in 2000, the submarine is being restored along with various artifacts that were recovered at the site. The museum is situated at the old Naval Base within North Charleston.

There are sculptures of different kinds of ships made and serviced at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. These sculpture exhibits are featured at the Greater Charleston Naval Memorial. The Memorial is situated on the old Navy Yard at Riverfront Park.

Ever since it was built in the year 1999, the Charleston Area Convention Center has played host to millions of guests and visitors. The facility has ballrooms, meeting rooms and exhibition halls. The Convention Center contributes significantly to the regional and local economy.

The North Charleston Coliseum is a 13,295-seat venue which is utilized for local graduations, concerts and special events. It is one of the state's largest places and home to the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays hockey team. The Coliseum is conveniently located near the Charleston International Airport.

Major Broadway shows, and world-renowned musical and theatrical performances play at The North Charleston Performing Arts Center, which seats more than two thousand.

The North Charleston Coliseum, the performing Arts Center and the Charleston Area Convention Center are part of a bigger cultural and entertainment complex that visitors and residents to the region could enjoy. These facilities are owned by the city of North Charleston.
